WhiteWay developed the branding and national and international communication for Greater Porto, a project aimed at uniting interests and businesses, as well as boosting the economy of the municipalities of Porto, Matosinhos, and Vila Nova de Gaia.
A pioneering project in Portugal, Greater Porto has emerged as a shared entity between the municipalities of Gaia, Porto and Matosinhos around various objectives aimed at bringing together interests and companies, boosting the economy and propelling the region to a new level of competitiveness and attractiveness in terms of attracting investment to the north/north-west of Portugal.
The brief was to create a regional brand to conquer the global market.
The Greater Porto identity was expressed in an engaging and impactful visual storytelling, inspired by various elements and icons of local tradition, history and architecture. At the same time, modern colours were used to reflect a dynamic and complementary approach, projecting the union and dialogue between the three municipalities in this initiative.
A 360ยบ project that has seen several multi-media events, including appearances at the EXPO Real trade fair, held in Munich at the end of 2022, and at MIPIM, the main event dedicated to real estate, held in Cannes.
Alongside these appearances, the Greater Porto brand was from the outset the centrepiece of relevant media initiatives, in a communication ecosystem that also included the digital environment.
