The campaign for MOTELX – Lisbon International Horror Film Festival’s 17th edition is handled by WYcreative, which brings us the best menu in the capital. Production was managed by Still and directed by João Fanfas.

According to WYcreative, MOTELX serves us an admirable menu of the best in horror cinema. This was the starting point for a concept that reflects, in an intriguing and horrifyingly beautiful way, the spirit of the festival “Where terror is the dish of the day”.

The spot was designed in a storytelling format that could become a short film to be shown at the festival itself. Here, the entire ambiance of luxury, the sublime, and strangely refined tastes is explored.

Everything happens in an empty fine dining restaurant, where, to the sound of classical music, we move through a rich environment full of details, where nothing is out of place. A customer enters with all her superiority, immediately drawing an attentive look from a waiter, who reacts with an intentionally strange smile. There is a latent tension. Who is that strangely flawless figure that smiles at the customer and invites her to taste something truly wonderful? The answer will be served on a platter at the end, as described by Tiago Varino, the Creative Director responsible for the campaign’s creativity.

The director of MOTELX, Pedro Souto, expresses great satisfaction with the final result, stating: “This is the result of great collaborative work between us, the agency and the production company, which mobilized a group of fantastic people. The result leaves us immensely satisfied.”

From the 12th of September until the 18th, MOTELX will be at Cinema São Jorge in Lisbon.
